Cape Town comedians and artists are banding together to bring you a feast of entertainment in support of Hannah’s Place of Safety in Mitchell’s Plain.
The Wayne McKay and Friends Music and Comedy Show will be hosted at Westridge civic centre on Friday October 18 at 7pm.
Hosted by Wayne McKay, the show will feature a number of artists including SA Music Awards nominee Jarrad Ricketts, diva VuVu Khumalo, Maak my Famous finalist Rezah Forbes , Keanu Harker and many more.
Tickets are R120 and a portion of the ticket sales will be donated to Hannah’s Place of Safety, which provides emergency services and foster care for children who are taken from their homes because of abuse and neglect. It is run by Westridge couple Janine and Dion Fabe.
Hanna’s Place of Safety was established in 2016 and is named after the Fabes’ adopted daughter who was abandoned at birth. She was found under a motor bridge and placed in the Christine Revell orphanage where Janine was a volunteer. She had not even been given a name and was only temporarily placed at the orphanage until another facility had room for her.
The Revell orphanage was having an outing and Hannah was too young to go, so Janine took Hannah home for the weekend.
Every member of the Fabe family fell in love with her and after two years of fostering Hannah, the Fabes adopted her into their “forever” family.
