Capegate Shopping Centre’s Ice Rink is all set to greet happy young feet (ages 3 to 13 years only) again when it glides into action between Friday June 14 and Sunday July 7 these winter school holidays.
Situated in Bridge Court near Entrance 4, the specially created rink measuring 15 by 8 meters, and made with real ice, offers young skaters the perfect way to beat the winter blues and stay active.
Family members can relax and watch the fun from the nearby seating area, however, adults are welcome to assist the little ones on the ice, if necessary.
The centre’s staff will be keeping a watchful eye on the ice capades and are also available to lend a helping hand if needs be.
Marketing Manager, Zoë Ganz says, “We’re looking forward to welcoming back new and regular skaters this holiday. Running for its fourth time, the ice rink has proven to be a favourite amongst our future shoppers, and parents love bringing their kids, some while they get to do a quick shop as the youngsters are living their best lives on the ice.
“Just a reminder that although the skates are supplied as part of the ticket price, skaters must bring their own thick socks to wear inside the boots please.”
It costs R70 per skater per 50-minute session (includes skate hire).
Session times:
Mondays to Saturdays: 10am to 7pm (last session starts at 6pm)
Sundays: 10am to 5pm (last session starts at 4pm)
Tickets are available at Webtickets or at the rink.
