The City of Cape Town’s call centre operating hours will be reduced, for the accounts and general enquiries queue only, over the festive season.
The call centre will be operational from 7am to 5.30pm from Saturday December 15 to Sunday January 6. Water-related enquiries will be dealt with as normal with a dedicated 24-hour line.
The Electricity Department’s Technical Operation Centre as well as the Transport Information Centre will continue to operate during this period for all electricity and transport-related enquiries.

For electricity-related enquiries, residents can send an SMS to 31220.
They can also visit www.capetown.gov.za to log a service request, or for account-related and general enquiries.
For account-related queries an email can be sent toaccounts@capetown.gov.za
Public Emergency Communication Centre will not be affected and will continue to operate as usual on a 24-hours basis.
The accounts and general enquiries queue of the call centre will resume normal working hours on Monday January 7.
