Bird wars

■ This jackal buzzard arrives at the beginning of summer to sit at his favourite spot on top of the disused railway poles bordering Rugby and Milnerton says photographer Colin Brown. The local crow has made it his mission to harass the buzzard as often as possible. “Every day the same scene plays out, sometimes some of the bigger variety seagulls join in and poor buzzard has to move up the lines. He’s always eating something, mostly rats which is good for the neighbourhood,” he said.
