Blooming great

Friends of Blaauwberg Conservation Area urges people to keep a lookout for hardebos (phylica ericoides) during May. The tough but decorative little shrub with dark green foliage and masses of white flower heads blooms during autumn and winter and is perfect for water-wise and fynbos gardens. They can be seen in the Parklands fynbos corridor (park in the cul de sac next to the Think Storage building in Sandown Road), and on the Blaauwberg Reserve’s Coastal Dune Trail, starting at Eerste Steen.
