Body discovered

The body of a boy, believed to be Joshua Joubert, washed up at Ou Skip, Melkbosstrand, on Tuesday November 7. According to Melkbosstrand police spokeswoman Constable Debbie Alard, an inquest docket has been opened. DNA analysis will confirm whether or not it is Joshua. The 14-year-old drowned at Melkbosstrand main beach on Sunday October 29.The family had decided to pay for the forensic tests themselves for quicker results, said Constable Alard. “A tragedy for any parent and one that no parent should have to suffer,” she said.
