Parklands College pupils received the Innovative Project Award for their project called The Blind Box, which they presented at last week’s First Lego League regional competition. They have secured a place in the top-six categories, which allows them to compete in a national competition in Cape Town on Friday and Saturday December 1 and 2. The Blind Box device, which is made out of Lego blocks and other components, was designed to help the visually impaired experience the performing arts by not only hearing a performance but feeling it too.
