A colony of bees was removed on Thursday December 28 in Rugby. The bees had made their hive in a manhole in a driveway. Photographer Colin Brown said a great cloud of bees appeared in the driveway, and bee-keepers removed a lot of honeycomb and two queen bees. “I believe that when the swarm grows too big, it grows another queen which leaves with half the swarm to find new premises,” said Mr Brown.
