On Wednesday June 8, a Pick n Pay employee and a customer sustained minor injuries, after a light motor vehicle crashed into the clothing store at West Coast Mall, Sunningdale.
Police are investigating the crash. Netcare911 paramedics treated the employee for minor injuries before transporting her to a nearby hospital. The customer was transported privately to a nearby hospital.
“We were relieved that there were relatively minor injuries, one to a staff member and one to a customer. They received treatment immediately and we wish them well with their recovery.
“The store has been repaired and is open for business. The insurance companies are dealing with the respective claims,” said Pick n Pay Western Cape regional manager Jarett van Vuuren.
