Last week Tabletalk published a letter and a picture of the traffic snarl-up on Koeberg and Blaauwberg roads, on Friday August 5, which led to frustration for drivers.
In response to the letter by Roz Bierman of Table View (“Chaos on Milnerton roads,” Tabletalk letters, August 10) , the City of Cape Town’s spokesman for traffic services, Richard Coleman, said: “On Friday night, there were three accidents in the Koeberg/Blaauwberg area and on the N7 in both directions. Traffic services officials did their best under trying circumstances.
“Friday is undoubtedly the day where we have the most traffic on our roads. The City appreciates the frustration of residents, but does all it can with the resources available”, he said.
