Tygerberg Community Police Forum (CPF) Cluster chairwoman, Lesley Ashton, has resigned from her post with effect from Friday September 15. Ms Ashton cited her husband’s poor health as the reason for her decision. “I cannot be available for meetings any longer,” said Ms Asthon. She said she had tried to improve the “understanding of the aims and objectives of the CPF role” within the cluster during her tenure. “I have ensured that partnerships are working between SAPS and the CPF. I wish for all volunteer community members to embrace the future changes coming to the role of the CPF,” she said.
