Blouberg Rotary Club held its annual rotary community awards on Thursday March 29 at the Italian Club in Rugby. From left are president of Blouberg Rotary Club Carl Bayhack, Warrant Officer Josias Gouws of Table View police station and winner of the Public Service award, Alfred Welemtsha, vice principal of Sinenjonga High School and winner of the Teacher/Lecturer award, Karen Oliveira founder of the non-profit organisation Mothers that Care and winner of the Volunteer award; Sandra Mc Connachie, winner of the Unsung Hero Award for her work with the Table View Neighbourhood Watch and Dare to Share group of Friends; and Cheryl Lyn Potgieter, founder of Daisy Animal Rescue Trust and winner of the Kindness to Animals award.
The Tabletalk (formerly The Tabletalk and Mail) was established in 1987. This long established popular community title includes the key shopping centres Canal Walk and Bayside Centre within its distribution area.
