Captain Chandler said that on Wednesday May 15, a homeowner contacted his security company when he saw a man on his property looking through the window and trying to open the door to his home.

The man ran away but the security company caught a suspect in Hawks Crescent.

After being handed over to the police, it emerged that he was a well-known- burglar, recently released from prison.

In another incident, two men were arrested with a stolen car last week.

According to Captain Chandler, the car was reported stolen in Table View in February.

The suspects are linked to other cases, say police.

Milnerton police spokeswoman, Captain Nopaya Madyibi, said the muggers threatened the two men with a pair of scissors on Saturday May 11.
