* On Thursday July 7, in Burgundy Estate, the Hawks arrested a 31-year-old woman and her husband, along with four accomplices in Summer Greens for committing online dating fraud in Cape Town, allegedly conning people out of hundreds of thousands of rands.
Hawks spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Robert Netshiunda, said they launched their investigation after seven victims came forward individually to report being conned. Together they had lost about R400 000.
