The Table View Community Police Forum (CPF) has welcomed the conviction and sentencing of three men accused of housebreaking and theft.
Abduragman Abrahams, 29, Martin Adams, 30, and Rafeeq Daniels, 40, were sentenced on Tuesday September 13 for crimes committed in 2020.
Table View police spokesperson Adriana Chandler said the men broke into a house in Blaauwberg Road, Table View, in the early hours of Tuesday morning October 27, 2020. The owner was not home at the time, and the men took a car and other items from the home.
“An alert neighbour observed the crime and immediately contacted an armed response company. Upon arrival, the suspects had already fled the scene, but the neighbour gave a good description of the stolen vehicle and suspects,” said Captain Chandler.
The armed response officers sprung into action and alerted Table View police.
“The vehicle was spotted not too far from the crime scene and a chase ensued,“ she said.
All three men were arrested and charged with housebreaking and theft, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
