Crime awareness project

Table View police station, in partnership with Table View Neighbourhood Watch, held a crime awareness project at Bayside Mall on Monday July 17.

The project aimed to educate the community about preventing crimes affecting communities, especially the youth. SAPS put up a stand in the mall with a variety of pamphlets on a number of topics such as drug abuse, domestic violence, sexual offences, theft and theft out of motor vehicles, fraud, bullying and robberies.

“As part of the Customer is King project, which is a national project aimed at assessing the service from the police to the community, Table View Neighbourhood Watch assisted the community by completing the forms when they visited the display,” said Captain Adriana Chandler from the Table View police station.

Table View Station Commander, Colonel Dirk Vosloo thanked the management of Bayside Mall and Table View Neighbourhood Watch for their support during this project.
