Using his informer network, Detective-Sergeant Kriel managed to track down a car that was stolen during a burglary in Bothasig, to an address in Milnerton.
Two men, aged 26 and 27, were arrested with one of them wearing some of the clothes which were stolen during the burglary.
They were charged with housebreaking, theft and theft of a motor vehicle.
Last Friday, Detective-Sergeant Kriel followed up information on another burglary case, during which a wall safe containing jewellery had been stolen.
A description of the suspect led to the arrest of a 37-year-old Bothasig resident who was charged with housebreaking and theft.
