Drugs were confiscated during a joint operation between metro police and the South African Police Service (SAPS) crime intelligence in Table View on Wednesday July 17.
At the first premises, one of the officers saw a man throwing a packet through a window. The officer retrieved the bag and found five packets of tik, 12 mandrax tablets, two pieces of rock cocaine, five units of cocaine, a packet of cocaine and R6 760 in cash.
A 34-year-old man was arrested for allegedly dealing in drugs.
Two hours later, the officers searched another premises and found 12 packets of tik, 16 small ziplock packets of CAT, three plastic packets containing unknown brown substance, a packet of dagga and R1 100 in cash.
A 29-year-old man was arrested.
Metro police spokesperson, Ruth Solomons, said: “The arrests come on the back of successful search warrant operations executed in Melkbosstrand and Plumstead on Monday July 15, that netted a significant amount of drugs and two arrests.”
