A man was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol in Bothasig on Sunday April 21.
Auxiliary officers, who were patrolling on Bosmansdam Road in the Bothasig area, noticed a car coming across the road and they had to swerve to avoid a head-on collision.
They stopped the car and found the driver seemingly drunk. A glass filled with alcohol and ice was found in a cup holder next to the gear shift.
He was arrested and charged with drunk driving.
