■ Photographer Frieda Prinsloo captured this image of a black headed heron who caught a snake at Rietvlei nature reserve in Table View on Saturday July 30. The snake struggled not to be swallowed and wrapped itself around the heron’s beak. Frieda did not stay to see who won the fight.
