A R60 million development is being built by Rabie Property Group on the last remaining site in the Grand Moorings precinct of Century City.
Bordered by Century Way and Esplanade Road, Manhattan Corner will be a mix of flats and offices in two buildings of varying heights.
The seven sectional-title offices in the development will range from 50m2 to 100m2, and will be located on the ground floor facing onto Century Way. Twenty-eight flats, comprising one-, two- and three-bedroom units, all with basement parking, will be built above the offices.
Rabie project manager Greg Jenkins said an investment firm had bought both components of the development for rental stock.
“We expect demand from tenants to be high as all other residential and commercial developments in the precinct are fully let.”
Manhattan Corner will complete the entire block which also includes the 63-flat Manhattan Quarter, the Manhattan Suites and Conferencing high rise, new studio offices for a firm of architects, a creche, Manhattan Park and two restaurants.
The development is expected to be completed by mid-2018.
