■ The Cape Centre of the Astronomical Society of South Africa will be at the Pierhead, at the V&A Waterfront, from 3pm to 9pm, on International Observe the Moon Night, Saturday October 20, to discuss and explain phases of the moon, lunar facts and lunar exploration. This annual worldwide event gives the public a chance to observe the moon through telescopes. Entry is free.
