Lamborghini clocks 250km/h on N1

The Lamborghini caught doing over 250km/* in the early hours of Monday March 5.

Traffic police slammed the brakes on a Lamborghini driver’s need for speed after he allegedly clocked in at 250km/h on the N1, between Sable Road and Plattekloof.

The officers arrested the man for reckless and negligent driving just after 1am on Monday.

He faces an additional charge of defeating the ends of justice, says the City, because his car had no registration plates or other identifying marks.

“This is yet another example of the absolute disdain some road users have for the rule of law,” said safety and security and social services Mayco member JP Smith.

“We are usually flooded with complaints about the behaviour of public transport drivers, but the behaviour of many road users is nothing short of atrocious.”
