Jeanne Bull, Melkbosstrand
Your edition of October 10 refers.
I would like to express my disgust at the fact that you felt the need to use a picture of human remains on page 9, Wednesday October 10.
Apart from “shock factor” such a photo may elicit from the viewer, it seems to me to be callous and unthinking in the extreme.
Bare bones and semi-intact feet will surely not lead to a positive identification of the body and so what could your reasoning be for publishing this photo in Tabletalk, which enters many households and is seen by people of all ages (like the children).
The signs of animal paw prints around the remains is also most distasteful.
I would like you to explain to me, and maybe to your other readers, what made you sink to this extreme.
