Making a difference

A group of 1st Table View Scouts, under the leadership of Robert King, 17, were hard at work serving the local community during this school holiday. They constructed a sand box to improve the outdoor area for the Melkbos Care Centre, an NGO caring for orphaned and underprivileged children. In addition the scouts repaired the children’s jungle gym, making it safe and usable. They also added some more swings. “Through this service project I learnt that everybody can make a difference. It was awesome to support and serve people in our community,” said Robert. Pictured at the back, from left, are Robert King and Jesse Grever.
