Dozens of children made a splash at Big Bay Beach on Sunday to learn about water safety and the basics of surf lifesaving.
The open day was organised by the Big Bay Surf Lifesaving club and a sponsor.
“Today is about micro nippers, aged between 5 and 8 years old. They are the future of the club, so it’s about us pulling in as many little kids as possible to get into the whole lifestyle of being at the beach every Sunday,” said Nicci Brooker a nipper officer at the club.
