A man was robbed of a large sum of cash in Merlot Street, on Monday August 1, at 10.15am.
Table View police spokeswoman Captain Adriana Chandler said the man had been sitting in his parked car opposite a shop in Merlot Street. He was about to deposit the money at the bank when four men, two with guns, approached him and demanded his cellphone, the cash and other personal belongings, which the man handed over. The robbers fled in a white Nissan bakkie with registration CY 355 942. The man was not injured and no shots were fired. Anyone with information can call Table View police at 021 521 3300.
