A man was shot in Table View in the early hours of Sunday January 14.
According to Table View SAPS spokesperson, Captain Adriana Chandler, police received a complaint about a shooting in the parking area of a local pub in Marine Circle, Table View.
One man suffered five gunshot wounds to the lower part of his body and was rushed to hospital by an ambulance.
A description of one male suspect was given to police by witnesses but police are still asking the public to come forward with any information they might have.
Two men were caught with abalone with an estimated street value of R297 800. Captain Chandler said that on Sunday January 14, just before 7pm, police pulled over a Toyota Hilux in Donkin Avenue, Table View, because the driver was was driving recklessly.
Police noticed black bags in the vehicle and when one of them was opened, the abalone was discovered inside.
The driver directed the police to a house in Crassula Road, Table View where 63 bags of abalone weighing nearly 600kg were confiscated.
The driver and a man at the residence were arrested and were set to appear at the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court yesterday, Tuesday January 16.
