* Sand artist, Michael Myekwa, has become a familiar face on Bloubergstrand beach. He has drawn the attention of many onlookers who are left awestruck by his sand creations, which include the Big Five, realistic-looking beach bathers and a horse rising from the sand (“Moulding sand into art,” Tabletalk, March 16).
This weekend Gary Laubscher captured images of Michael sculpting a larger-than-life size boot and a sitting gorilla.
