Neighbourhood watch to host fundraising dance

The Summer Greens Neighbourhood Watch (SGNW) will be hosting its first fundraising dance on Saturday July 15 at the Summer Greens community hall in Tinkers Way, at 7pm.

Treasurer of the SGNW, Feerouza Kruger, said they’ve manage to get a few great prizes for the raffle and spot prize gifts but they still needed more.

“The prize can be of any value, big or small as we’d like to have as many prizes as possible in order to encourage ticket sales. Your generosity will make a difference in our community by allowing us to continue to do our work,” said Ms Kruger.

The dance will play music from the 70s, 80s, 90s and noughties and some of the prizes up for grabs include an Isabella Garcia hamper, R500 Canal Walk gift voucher and Old Brown Sherry hamper.

The money raised from the dance will go towards buying more bibs and radios for the watch. With only 200 tickets for sale and most of them already snapped up, Ms Kruger encouraged people to support the event.

Tickets cost R50 each and can be bought by calling 072 874 1697 or emailing
