A new Revenue Customer Care and Motor Vehicle Registration and Licencing (MVRL) office has been opened at the Table Bay Mall shopping complex in Sunningdale this morning.
The office, which will handle motor vehicle licence renewals and vehicle registrations, enquires relevant to rates and services, applications for rates rebates and indigent benefits, and accept payments for municipal accounts and traffic fines, will be open seven days a week.
The City of Cape Town says due to the massive growth in the greater Table View area, including Dunoon and Parklands, there has been an increased need for an additional revenue office and MVRL office.Â
In the past, residents in the area had to go to the Milnerton and Atlantis, resulting in long queues, especially at the Milnerton MVRL office.
Mayoral committee member for finance, Ian Neilson, said: “We are dedicated to making our services more accessible to our residents and are working to secure additional, similar opportunities in other areas in the city.”
The revenue office will be open on every day of the week. On weekdays it will be operational from 8.30am to 4pm; while on weekends it will be 9am to 12.30pm.
