Open Mosque

The Open Mosque in Lester Road, Wynberg, held its third annual Christmas dinner on Saturday December 17. Mosque president Dr Taj Hargey said this is the only mosque in the world that hosts a Christmas dinner. Guests from religious denominations across the spectrum were invited to the event which Mr Hargey said had been held to create a platform for religions to dialogue and learn from each other and to “celebrate the birth of this man that even Muslims celebrate, Jesus Christ”.
