■ Colin Brown sent these pictures of a drain overflowing outside his home in Boundary Road, Milnerton. Mr Brown said the drain had been overflowing for two weeks. Area south Mayco member Suzette Little said a City sanitation team had found a broken pipe had caused the overflow. “It is suspected that this pipe was unintentionally damaged by pipe-jacking operations undertaken by a contractor working close by. Pipe jacking is a technique for installing underground pipelines, ducts and culverts where powerful hydraulic jacks are used to push specially designed pipes through the ground without requiring disruptive excavation,” said Ms Little.
