I see Bayside has just increased their R5 parking fee, for over one hour, to R8.
How can they possibly justify this 60 percent increase? Is this a prelude to doing away with the one-hour free parking? Do they want to chase shoppers away from Bayside or what?
* Aadilah Ryklief, Bayside Mall centre manager, responds: Customers can be assured the first hour of parking will remain free. The next two hours will cost R8, so, effectively, you can spend three hours in the centre for R8.
Compared to other major shopping centres, our parking tariffs are very competitive.
