One man died and another was badly injured after collisions involving pedestrians in Milnerton and Dunoon last week.
A man in his 30s was hit by a car on Malibongwe Boulevard, in Dunoon, on Tuesday May 10, according to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.
The man was lying in the middle of the road and was treated with advanced life support before being transported to Groote Schuur Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Earlier that day, a 40-year-old Milnerton man was hit by a taxi on Koeberg Road.
Medics arriving on the scene just after 7am, found the man lying in the road and the taxi parked on the side of the road.
The man was in a critical condition with a serious head injury, said Mr Meiring.
“The man was treated and provided with life support before being transported to Groote Schuur Hospital for urgent care,” said Mr Meiring.
The driver was also assessed by the medics but did not need any treatment.
According to City Fire and Rescue Service spokesman Jermaine Carelse, the injured man had been found lying in the bus lane.
