■ The shy migrant red-chested cuckoo, also known as Piet-my vrou in Afrikaans, has been spotted for the first time at the Intaka Island and Rietvlei section of the Table Bay Nature Reserve. Photographer Frieda Prinsloo said: “It was beautiful to listen to their call, Piet…my… vrou!”
