Milnerton residents will be without electricity on Saturday October 29 between 8pm and 8am the following day.
This as officials from the City of Cape Town’s electricity department will be busy carrying out maintenance work at the Milnerton main sub-station.
The municipality said the work is necessary to ensure reliable electricity supply for Milnerton residents.
The City’s Mayco member for Energy, Beverley van Rheenen, said City teams are on the ground every day across the metro completing maintenance and upgrades to sub-stations, infrastructure cables and electricity kiosks, among others.
Ms Van Rheenen adds that electricity supply could be restored at any time and asks customers to treat all electrical installations as live for this period.
Residents are also encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution.
Ms Van Rheenen has apologised for the inconvenience this will cause to residents.
If you have any enquiries regarding the planned electricity supply interruption, you can contact the City’s call centre on 0860 103 089.
