Police arrested two 19-year-old men after members of the public came to the aid of a woman who was mugged in Parklands last week.
Table View police spokeswoman Captain Adriana Chandler said the woman had been walking near the corner of Parklands Main Road and Koeberg Road on Wednesday May 16, at 1.30pm, when two unarmed men had grabbed her cellphone.
Bystanders, including a security guard, chased the two men and recovered the woman’s cellphone.
The good Samaritans handed the suspects over to the police.
Police are hunting four men who robbed a Table View liquor store last week.
Captain Chandler said the robbers had held up the Boy de Goede Circle store on Tuesday May 15, after 5pm.
One of them had a gun and yelled at patrons and staff to keep calm, while his accomplices grabbed cash and liquor.
They fled in a minibus taxi. No injuries were reported.

Police recovered a stolen motorcycle in Bothasig.
Bothasig police spokesman Warrant Officer Jacques Mostert said the bike had been stolen in Bellville.
On Tuesday May 15, after learning the bike was somewhere in Bothasig and acting on a hunch, two officers visited an address where a stolen motorbike had been found previously.
The officers spotted a covered motorbike in the driveway — it was the bike they were looking for.
Warrant Officer Mostert said no arrests had been made as the case was still being investigated.
