Pool performance

■ Elkanah House pupil Nuria Ribeiro competed in the South African senior swimming national championships during the Easter holiday. She competed in five strokes, achieving the best time in all of them. She won a bronze medal for the 50m backstroke and was awarded the elite youth award – for swimmers aged 19 and under who have qualified for at least one South African National – for her 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke races.
