Pub patron arrested with unlicensed firearm

A man was arrested for the possession of an unlicensed firearm on Saturday September 14.

Table View police responded to calls from a pub in Parklands about one of the patrons who had a gun.

According to Table View police spokeswoman Captain Adriana Chandler, the man admitted to not having a licence for a gun he claimed to have bought in Durban.

* On Saturday September 14, a 25-year-old man was arrested in Link Road, Bloubergstrand, for the possession of dagga and codeine.

Captain Chandler said the man was selling codeine to children and dealing in dagga.

* Police are investigating a murder after the body of a homeless man, who appeared to have been stabbed several times in the chest, was found on the lawn outside an Arum Road home on Wednesday September 11.
