Robo kids shine at regional competition

Daniel Murray, 8, and Fourie Pieterse, 8, both from Sunningdale, were part of Team Explorers, which came third in the First Lego League Explore Western Cape Regional Competition.

Booster Kids Robotics Club, from Monte Vista, competed in the First Lego League Explore Western Cape Regional Junior Competition and First Lego League Explore Regional Senior Competition in Johannesburg on Saturday June 4. The children are from various schools, including Edgemead Primary, Table View Primary, Lilliput Pre-Primary, Milnerton Pre-Primary and Ysterplaat Primary.

Team Cosmic came second for robot performance and first for core values at the interschools competition. The team also placed first for robot performance at the Western Cape regionals.
