Must someone first break a leg before the surface is made good again?
Brett Herron, the City’s Mayco member for transport and urban development, responds:
The City’s roads and stormwater department investigated and found no evidence of fibre-optic installation works in Millvale Road, but rather that the pavers had been removed even though no application was received for their removal. We were not aware of this issue, but are now working on fixing the pavement by the end of the month.
We rely on residents reporting road issues in their areas and urge them to do so at the Transport Information Centre on 0800 65 64 63.
