A man from the Site 5 informal settlement in Table View has been handed a 15-year prison sentence for murder, say police.
Sonwabile Pakamile was sentenced in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court last month after he was convicted of murdering Lulama Duma, according to Table View police spokeswoman Captain Adriana Chandler.
Mr Duma was stabbed multiple times with a knife at a dwelling in Site 5, on July 3, 2020.
Table View police station commander Colonel Junaid Alcock welcomed the sentencing.
