Police arrested two suspected drug dealers in Parklands last Thursday.
According to Table View police spokeswoman Captain Adriana Chandler, the drug bust happened after police broke up a fight between a man and woman.
The woman claimed the man had stolen her handbag.
“The officers accompanied the duo to a complex in Dorchester Drive, Parklands looking for the handbag, but could not find it. “The woman got very angry and shouted to the man that she is going to unveil his dirty secret,” said Captain Chandler.
The woman told the police the man was hiding drugs in his back garden.
After a search of the property, police found ecstasy, mandrax tablets, cocaine and tik.
They arrested the man and another man at the property.
In another incident, police arrested a man accused of burgling a Tritonia Road house.
A bicycle with an estimated value of R30 000 was stolen during the burglary last month.
Acting on a tip-off, officers traced the suspect to Parklands Main Road on Monday April 1.
