Police have arrested a 39-year-old man in Table View on a drugs-possession charge.
According to Table View police spokeswoman Captain Adriana Chandler, a homeowner reported that his tenant had drugs in his possession. Police found tik at the residence and arrested the tenant on Saturday July 17.
• In a separate incident, police arrested a man in Table View after he allegedly tried to run down the owner of a car while attempting to steal the vehicle.
The 29-year-old suspect had allegedly tried to steal the car on Saturday July 17 but had been thwarted by the owner who had then apprehended him and handed him over to the police, said Captain Chandler.
The suspect faces charges of attempted murder and attempted car theft.
