Delegates from several animal welfare groups took part in a training workshop run by new Table View non-profit Rescue Rehab SA (RRSA).
The workshop, at the Dolphin Beach Hotel on Saturday April 8, covered animal cruelty and animal by-laws, basic medical assessment and CPR, basic animal handling and behaviour, home checks and responsible adoption, and recognition of diseases.
David Thorpe, an RRSA trustee, said the organisation wanted to bring in experts from different animal welfare organisations to “share their expertise with other animal rescues and potential volunteers in a forum where people can learn through interaction and ultimately benefit the animals in their care”.
Each delegate received a certificate. Visit http://rrsa.org.za or email info@
