The Milnerton High pupil picked up her pace when she noticed a car with three men inside following her, but the car caught up to her and a man with a knife jumped out and took her cellphone.

The girl’s mother said a passer-by had come to her daughter’s aid as the man tried to pull her into the car.

A Table View woman caught thieves red-handed on her property after returning from a trip to the shop.

Table View police spokeswoman Captain Adriana Chandler said the woman had returned home at 7am on Wednesday August 23 to find a man closing her garage door and another man sitting in a vehicle outside her home.

She confronted the men and noticed they had taken her husband’s things out of the garage.

When she blocked them in with her car, one of the men used a taser gun on her and assaulted her.

Alerted by witnesses, police and armed response officers arrived and arrested one of the men while the other fled.

Police found burglary tools in the men’s car and returned the stolen property to the owner.
