Siyasanga theatre company will be staging To Get to the Moon, at the Masque Theatre in Muizenberg, until Saturday March 24. Written by doctor, teacher and writer, Dawn Garish, the play is directed by Roy Sargeant and stars Anthea Thompson and Adrian Galley. To Get to the Moon is described as a “gentle exploration of the lives of married couple, Norman and Bianca”. Some years before the action of the play they experienced a traumatic event. The very different ways they have tried to come to terms with this event threaten to destroy their marriage. The play explores themes of responsibility, guilt and blame, the science and art of decision-making and the shame that keeps crucial information hidden. Evening shows start at 8pm.
