Two decomposed foetuses have been found within days of each other in Site 5, Dunoon.
A resident found the first foetus in a wheelie bin on Monday August 8.
Table View police spokeswoman Captain Adriana Chandler said it was estimated to be between two to three months old.
Two days later, on Wednesday August 10, a second foetus was found at a dam in Site 5. A resident found the foetus in the water and pulled it out.
Captain Chandler said it was also estimated to be about two to three months old. Both foetuses were too decomposed to tell their sex.
