Two men who allegedly robbed two youngsters at gunpoint on Monday afternoon in Parklands have been arrested, say police.
The boys were playing basketball at a park near York Close at the time, said Table View police spokeswoman Captain Adriana Chandler.
One of the men took out a gun and demanded the boys’ belongings. They took a cellphone and a backpack before running away.
Police caught the suspects on the same day and the backpack and cellphone were recovered along with an imitation gun, said Captain Chandler.
The suspects, aged 24 and 32, were linked to a previous armed robbery in Table View, she said.
